2013 - Utah... The Arches & Canyonlands Natl Park

Utah is an amazingly beautiful state.  The Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Monument Valley and a host of other jaw dropping areas brings it into heavy competition with the Grand Canyon in our minds.   We had heard of and seen pictures of these National Parks over the years, but we weren't prepared for the level of grandeur and stunning beauty of this place!

 2010 - Hawaii Tour...

In 2010, we took a 10 day trip to the Hawaian Islands. We flew over, met up with our friends Jim and Catie Robirds and then took a Cruise around the Islands. We had a really enjoyable time even though we never spotted "Danno" of "Hawaii Five O."

2010 - June's Sky Diving Adventure

To celebrate her 70th Birthday, June decided it would be fun to jump out of a perfectly good airplane while it's flying at 11,000 feet!   So she did it!   Click on the photo (left) to see her video of that event!

 2009 - Monarch Butterfly Migration...

In 2009 we took a really well put together "Go With Jo" Bus Tour that originated in the Rio Grande Valley, out of Harlingen, Texas. The tour took us deep into Mexico to get a first-hand look a most amazing phenomenon...  The Great Monarch Butterfly Migration.

2003 - Alaska Tour...

In September of 2003, we flew to Fairbanks Alaska.  Then traveled by rail in a nearly 12 hour (reeeally long) trip to Anchorage.  Accommodations aboard the train were OK, but nobody wants to ride the rails for 12 hours without a break!  However, as it turned out, we did have a good time and a very memorable adventure anyway!

1991 - Motorcycle Tour of Mesa Verde & Accoma...

In the summer of 1991, we again rode West with our friends, the Nalls. This time, it was through Arizona and on to visit the Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado, and the Native American Pueblo Village of Acoma atop a 367-foot, breathtaking sandstone bluff, in New Mexico.

1985 - Our Motorcycle "Tour West"...

In late August of 1985 we launched out on a 21 day motorcycle tour of several Western States. We toured with our close friends Luke and Cherry Nall.  Leaving out of Austin, we traveled a 12 state, 6,000 mile tour that took us through Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, then back into Texas, to our home in Austin.
No, we did not "camp out" at any time on this trip.  By this time in our lives, our idea of "roughing it" would be putting up with the occasional B&W TV at the only motel we could find at days end.    It was truly a wonderful ex[erience, filled with adventures we will never forget!
