Images of Egypt - from our 1994 trip...

This is from Pre-Digital Photography days...

These photos wwere taken with a 35mm Olympus OM-1 with various Zuiko lenses. The film was Kodak Royal... back then it was rated as ASA 100.
We were in Egypt visiting friends stationed in Cairo, working for an oil company. Although we were there for only two weeks, we did get a good feel for life in that region of North Africa.
We visited, Cairo, Giza, Karnak, Luxor, Ibu Simbel, Sharm el Sheik, Aswan, and the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
We also stayed a few nights at the famous Old Cataract Hotel while in Aswan.  Among the many celebrities who have stayed there the most celebrated is Agatha Christie. During an extended stay there, she wrote, "Death On The Nile" from the terrace balcony.
